שְׁאֵלָה, שְׁאִי׳f. (b. h.; שָׁאַל) 1) request, esp. shelah, prayer for rain, inserted in the ninth section of the Prayer of Benedictions. Ber.V, 2 (33a), v. שָׁאַל.
